In honor of Golden Gate Park's 150th Anniversary, the 120-year-old Spreckels Temple of Music Bandshell in Golden Gate Park has been upgraded with a new stage, built-in theatrical lighting and sound systems. Across from the Observation Wheel on the Music Concourse, the Bandshell lights will shine nightly from sunset to park closing. Golden Gate Park 150 is a partnership project of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and San Francisco Parks Alliance.
Best Viewing: The Spreckels Temple of Music Bandshell is across the Observation Wheel in Golden Gate Park's Music Concourse, the outdoor plaza near the de Young Museum, the California Academy of Sciences, and the Japanese Tea Garden.
5M is a new, vibrant mixed-use destination in the heart of San Francisco located at the intersection of 5th and Mission streets.
