POINT OF VIEW

Saron Paz and Matthew Passmore (2018)

Temporary

Pier 27

"Point of View," conceived of by Israeli experience designer Saron Paz and designed by Bay Area artist Matthew Passmore, is a synthesis of art, experience and technology. The project is comprised of two identical sculptures, evocative of lighthouse towers, placed along the waterfront of each city. Within each sculpture is a customized periscope that connects to a camera that captures a live feed view of the other city from across the world and can be controlled by a single viewer and shared by all. This project was made possible by the Haifa Sister City Committee.

Best Viewing: 24/7
