The 150-foot, illuminated SkyStar Observation Wheel in Golden Gate Park is ready to ride. The wheel, which provides riders with sweeping views from the ocean to downtown San Francisco, was initially built to celebrate Golden Gate Park’s 150th anniversary. The Wheel was so popular that it will remain to thrill its passengers through 2024.

Best Viewing: The SkyStar Observation Wheel is located in the Music Concourse, the outdoor plaza near the de Young Museum, the California Academy of Sciences, and the Japanese Tea Garden. It is currently closed to visitors.
